TOWN TEAMS IN SEVENTH HEAVEN
Both Runcorn Town and Runcorn Town Reserves hit seven in today's West Cheshire League games, with both moving up to second place in the table as a result.

The first team avenged last weeks' surprise loss to Maghull by winning 7-1 in the return match with Kyle Hamid and Simon Burton both grabbing two. Ian Robinson, James McShane, and new signing Ste Lathom were the other scorers with Brian Ward scoring for Maghull.

Meanwhile the reserves raced into a three goal lead in the home tie against Upton A.A. Reserves only for Upton to draw level by half time. Four unanswered second half goals won it for Town though with Paul Hart grabbing a hattrick. Craig Beech, Pete Murphy, John Coady and Danny Cummins were the other Town scorers with Danny Stevenson (2) and James Green scoring for Upton.

The results mean Town move up to second place, eight points behind West Kirby who have played four games more and who won 8-0 today at home to Blacon. The reserves are also second, a point behind Mossley Hill who have played a game more and four points clear of Bronze Social and Manor Athletic who both have games in hand.
